Quality guarantee terms

Engine warranty at a mileage of 30,000 kilometers or 3 years, whichever come first. Quality guarantee is valid from the date of purchase of the vehicle. Refer the warranty date specified in the owner’s manual.
Equipment warranty and external parts at a mileage of 10,000 kilometers or 1 year, whichever come first. Quality guarantee is valid from the date of purchase of the vehicle. Refer the warranty date specified in the owner’s manual.
Guarantee for battery, rear shock absorber and tire for a period of 6 months or a mileage of 5,000 km, whichever come first. Quality guarantee is valid from the date of purchase of the vehicle (Refer the terms of the warranty from the local manufacturer).
When your motorcycle have quality problem. You can go to use the warranty by bringing the motorcycle and the warranty book to the distribution center & service appointed by the company. Your vehicle will be modified, adjusted or replaced with the defective part without charging the price of spare parts and repair wage.

Quality guarantee exceptions

When neglect “Rules for the use of motorcycles in the warranty period” may be reserved for quality assurance. When it was found that the neglect was clear. Which cause problem with the motorcycle.

Warning

Position of serial numbers – SM 250

Chassis number

Chassis number is on the right pipe of chassis.

Engine number

Engine number is on the left side of crankcase.

Note

Chassis number and Engine number is necessary for registration of your motorcycle. Such numbers are needed with order component or service to allow the distributor to provide you with better service.

Press the button ⑦ (on the bottom of the meter) once to show odometer ⑧ or trip distance ⑨ (Press and hold the ⑦ button to reset the trip distance)

Left handlebar switch / Right handlebar switch – SM 250

Left handlebar switch

① Dimmer switch

Press the switch to position For change to high beam.

Press the switch to position For change to low beam.

② Turning light switch (Type – Push for cancel)

Move the switch to the direction (Right) The turn signal (Right) will work.

Move the switch to the direction (Left) The turn signal (Left) will work.

Press the switch to the middle area. For turn off the turn signal.

③ Horn switch Press the horn switch, when the horn signal is to be used.

④ Headlight flashing switch (high beam). Press switch for warning alert.

Right handlebar switch

① Engine stop switch

To start the engine, Move the switch to position

To stop the engine, Move the switch to position

② Engine start switch

Press the switch for start the engine.

Ignition switch / Tool – SM 250

ON : Open the entire electrical system. The key cannot be removed.

OFF : Close the entire electrical system. The key can be removed.

LOCK : Lock steering handlebar. Turn the steering handlebar all the way to the left, Then press the key a little and twisting the key from the OFF position to the lock position, Then pulling the key out.

PARK : Lock steering handlebar and can open a dimmer light.

Battery – SM 250

For the battery attached to the motorcycle. It is a semi-dry battery. The battery of this type is filled with electrolyte and charge it from the battery manufacturer factory However, in order to extend the life and make the battery most efficient to use. It is therefore necessary to charge the battery regularly, When the battery voltage is less than 12.5 v.

In normal driving, The battery will be fully charged by the motorcycle charging system. Whenever you use a motorcycle for a short or very short time, the battery should be recharged. As the battery is self-discharging even though we have turned off the ignition to the OFF position, but with the rising temperature Including the supply of power to various devices causing the battery to discharge electricity continuously.

Spark plug – SM 250

Remove the spark plug and clean it. According to the maintenance schedule by using a small wire brush scrub clean.

Standard spark plug	D8TC

① Insulation prevents leakage of electric current.

② Spark plug gap distance.

Note

Standard value, spark plug gap distance 0.6 – 0.7 mm.

Carburetor choke lever

If the engine is cold, Push up the carburetor choke lever (In the direction of the arrow)
Make a slight twist of the throttle, Then start the engine until the engine is working.
When the engine has sufficient warm-up and able to work in idling, Push down the carburetor choke lever (In the direction of the arrow) return to the original position.

Driving chain – SM 250

Adjustment of driving chain

Set the motorcycle upright on a level surface.
Loosen fixing nut of the rear axle ① and loosen the locking nut ②then tighten the adjusting screw ③ so that the chain slack is 20 – 30 mm. (tighten the adjustment screw same both side)
The distance of markings on the swing arm ④ must be same on both sides

The chain and the sprocket are the parts that move around each other all the time. If there is dirt on the chain, it will wear out the chain and sprocket faster than usual. Should be clean and lubricate chain, Then

A is the slack of the standard distance chain 20 – 30 mm.

Cleaning air filter – SM 250

Procedure for removing the air filter

Remove the screw of the air filter cover ①
Open the air filter cover ② and take out the air filter to clean.
Blow the airflow from outside to inside follow the arrow.

Warning

Do not ride motorcycle without air filter installed. Because dirt may have escaped inside the engine and will cause internal engine parts have worn or be damaged
